2020’s annual Distinguished Gentleman's Ride was different to say the least.
With the unfortunate but necessary social distancing and limited group rides, this year's event was absent of the usual fleets of riders. Our Mutt London riders group entered into this year's Distinguished Gentlemens' charity ride, with their minds set on the road to raise some funds for a worthy cause and stay safe whilst doing it.
With a small incentive from the Mutt crew for Top Fundraiser, Best Moustache & Best Dressed, the team set off from the Royal Observatory in Greenwich Park visiting every known iconic London landmark, amounting to a 5 hour-round trip finishing at the O2 Millennium Dome, turning heads as they went with a pack of throaty grunting Mutts.
Organised by long-time Mutt owner AJ, who turned up the suave right up to 11 on his Hilts 250, and bagged himself the title of Best Dressed
Pratish or P.K as he's affectionately known, winner of the 'Best Moustache' title on his heavily personalised Hilts 125
Last but by no means least, Mongrel rider Ross Aitchinson finished 7th Top Fundraiser in the entire damn country, and 3rd in London with an impressive £2,096 raised from him alone! Well done Ross - that's some persistent badgering.
The Mutt London Riders Team exceeded their fundraising target of £5k, by raising a whopping £7,537 and finishing 11th in the list of Top Teams worldwide - pretty stonkin' numbers for 23 lads & lasses on the back of our Brum-bred beasts.
It's safe to say we're pretty proud of the London Mutt Riders:
Take a look at Frazer astride his limited edition Super-6, Charlie Anstey riding the modern-Mutt take on the New Imperial and Veteran Mutt rider Kevo Thunder, dapper (as always…) on his rare early Mutt Desert Racer
Gavin looking suave on his Super-6, rose gold-crowned Louise with her Mongrel and Nick in all black to match his Fat Sabbath.
Olivia bringing some glamour on her Mongrel, Sam all sophisticated with his RS-13 and Woody, rather dashing donning his Mongrel.
Zuzu on her impressive special-build Monday Moco Mongrel, Mark matching rather well with his Hilts Green and proper smart Rob on his personalised Mongrel.
And finally, Jay on his Mongrel & the classic 'Mutt owner' expression on his face, and Mark suitably sharp riding his Fat Sabbath.
