Community Is Everything
The dust has settled after an incredible community effort, and we were absolutely blown away by the response from you all.
With roughly 4,000 tickets sold, this community's efforts helped raise around £8,100 through Ignite, contributing to more than (an astonishing) £35,000 raised overall. This overwhelming generosity is a testament to the strength of the Mutt family and the wider biking and creative communities rallying behind Chris ‘Burty’ Burton.
Every penny raised will go towards helping Burty adapt to the challenges of Motor Neurone Disease, ensuring he has access to the tools and technology that will improve his quality of life. The funds will assist with vital equipment like eye gaze communication technology, a mobility vehicle, and other essential support that will allow him to stay connected to the creative world he loves. It’s incredible to see so many people come together for one of our own, proving once again that the spirit of community is alive and well.
For those who were part of the Ignite draw, we hope you enjoyed the excitement and the chance to win a stunning Mutt Mushman 125. Whether you entered for the bike, contributed to the cause, or both, your combined efforts have made a real difference. And for the lucky winner - congratulations! We hope you're enjoying the open road on your Mutt.
But the support didn’t stop here. More funds were raised at the all-day benefit gig at The Marrs Bar in Worcester on June 29th. Organised by the bands who have been part of Burt’s journey through his D.I.Y. music scene, it was a day of great music, community, and further fundraising efforts. If you were there, we hope you enjoyed the music and being part of something special.
If you missed out on the raffle but still want to contribute, you can still donate directly to Chris’s GoFundMe. Every donation, no matter the size, will help make a difference in his life and support local MND charities working to help others facing the same challenges. It’s not just about one event or one fundraiser - it’s about ongoing support and solidarity.
We can't tell you enough how in awe we have been by the generosity and kindness shown from everyone who took part. Whether you bought a ticket, spread the word, donated, or simply sent messages of encouragement, you are part of this effort. Thank you for proving that the motorcycle and creative communities are more than just groups of individuals - we are a family.
