Parts Executive

As the Mutt family continues to grow globally, we are looking for a Parts Executive to look after our parts stock and providing parts and advice to our customers.


As Parts Executive at Mutt Motorcycles you will be responsible for our parts inventory, managing pricing, responding to enquiries and orders, keeping track of stock and reporting on stock movements and generally being the expert and go-to parts and customer service guru.


Our Parts Executive key responsibilities are:

  • To respond to parts enquiries and orders in a professional and knowledgeable manner – checking stock and preparing quotes as needed
  • To deal with all enquiries and orders with using excellent customer service, developing great customer relationships through a professional approach, making a good impression on behalf of yourself and Mutt Motorcycles, and having reliable product knowledge
  • To ensure that parts stock and inventory is accurately maintained and tracked, and ensure that required replenishments are dealt with as needed to ensure sufficient stock levels
  • To work with our customers and workshop teams to ensure that service is provided swiftly with good communication throughout and adherence to required timescales
  • To work with our admin team to ensure that parts for approved warranty claims are picked and sent as required with relevant information logged
  • To set up the parts stock area in an effective manner and that processes for retrieval and tracking of parts stock are effective and continually monitored and approved
  • To accurately record and keep information relating to parts enquiries, orders, stock and inventory and dispatch up to date
  • To report regularly on parts stock inventory in an efficient and accurate manner
  • To report regularly on trends in demands for parts to ensure that parts stock levels can be effectively forecast
  • To advise/report on any highlighted or regular quality issues with parts to quality and swiftly investigate improvements
  • To keep track and regularly review parts lists and pricing as required in liaison with Administration and senior team
  • To generally ensure that management and supply of parts inventory from within the business are well-run, cost-effective, professional and scalable, with processes monitored and improvements suggested and implemented where necessary.


As Parts Executive, you will need:

  • Knowledge and experience of working in a warehouse environment, preferably with experience in warehouse set-up, systems and management
  • Experience of working with/managing an extensive inventory catalogue, preferably in motorcycle/automotive parts
  • Proven experience of managing and tracking inventory stock levels, preferably in motorcycle/automotive parts
  • Experience of responding to customer enquiries and providing accurate information in a professional and consistent manner
  • Experience of producing costings/quotations for customers
  • Experience of picking and packing inventory items and arranging delivery
  • Experience of recording, tracking and reporting on inventory stock levels
  • Experience of working in a team environment, preferably within the motorcycle or automotive industry
  • Strong experience of continuous review and improvement of processes and presenting ideas for innovation
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly concerning communicating with a wide range of customers
  • Excellent commercial awareness

Educated to A-Level, BTEC or equivalent, with GCSE English & Maths at A*-C with relative work experience

Mutt Motorcycle is a growing, entrepreneurial business, with a tight-knit team ethos. As such, we may expect Mutt team members to step outside of their regular work/duties to help with other tasks where needed.


Based at our Birmingham HQ, travel where required.
