SUMMARY

As a Driver & General Assistant at Mutt Motorcycles, you will be detailing and delivering bikes to our dealer network and customers all over the UK.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Our Driver & General Assistant key responsibilities are to:

• Transporting bikes and delivering to dealers and customers
• Loading motorcycles onto transport ready for delivery and ensuring they are correctly secured
• Checking bikes and liaising with the workshop team should quality issues arise that need to be rectified
• Ensuring that deliveries are made in a timely, professional and courteous manner
• Unloading bikes on delivery and undertaking bike handover with individual customers when required
• Ensuring timely, complete and accurate recording of information regarding all aspects of transport and delivery
• Ensuring vehicles used for transport are maintained and monitored as required, and any servicing requirements or issues are dealt with appropriately
• Ensuring effective storage and maintenance of all tools and equipment related to deliveries
• Assisting the Parts and Workshop teams in organising appropriate storage management and ensuring general building tidiness
• Assisting with inbound bike stock handling
• Undertaking/assisting the wider team with periodic stock checks and stock relocation
• Supporting the workshop team in assisting with moving of stock and bike preparation
• To undertake maintenance and general facilities work

KEY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

As Driver & General Assistant, you will need:

• Experience of driving vehicles for delivery purposes
• Experience of general handling of motorcycles, particularly on and off transport
• Experience of preparing products for delivery, and dealing with delivery/logistics suppliers
• A pro-active approach to dealing with issues that may arise in the process of delivering goods
• A degree of manual dexterity, as the role involves handling and packing motorcycles and other products
• General skills related to maintenance and management of buildings and transport/vehicles
• A full, clean driving licence is essential
• A motorcycle licence is desirable but not essential

QUALIFICATIONS

Educated to GCSE level with English and Mathematics at Grade 4/C or above

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Mutt Motorcycle is a growing, entrepreneurial business, with a tight-knit team ethos. As such, we may expect Mutt team members to step outside of their regular work/duties to help with other tasks where needed. This role involves extensive travel within the UK. As such, any candidate must have the ability to travel and be accepting of the requirement for overnight stays and some unsocial working hours.
